We're holding a black belt grading for adults and children on Saturday, 6 December 2025.
About KMA
A non-profit, community club
We're a registered non-profit community club (Kingsland Martial Arts Society Inc.) The club was first formed in 2002 by Paul Quickenden & Aaron Hochwimmer. Paul runs the majority of classes, however other senior belts regularly teach portions of the class for the development.
Paul was trained to Black Belt by Master Callum Forbes when he lived in Wellington.
Adult classes are on Monday, 7:30pm - 9pm and Wednesday, 7:30pm - 9pm
We run three kids classes, of an hour each, on Saturdays between 1:00pm - 4:00pm (please call first)
Club fees
Our class fees go directly toward hall-hireage, the purchase of equipment, special events and promoting the club. All of our instructors are volunteers. See our fees page for details and payment instructions.
Location
We train in the main school hall at Kowhai Intermediate School.
